Noida, short for New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, is a well-planned city located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is part of the National Capital Region (NCR) and is situated adjacent to the capital city, New Delhi. Noida was established in 1976 with the aim of creating an integrated industrial and residential township to alleviate the growing population pressure in Delhi and to promote industrial development.
